BRNA BAY

The deep and well-protected bay of Brna is located approximately in the middle of the island, facing south. From the town of Smokvica it is only 4 km. Surrounded by pine trees and bathed in sunshine, which calls out for relaxation and swimming. In the 19th century it began to develop as a port for the transportation of wine from Smokvica to the other harbours on the Adriatic and the Mediterranean. This beautiful place has made it possible from the former commercial and fishing port into developed tourist resort, but many families from Smokvica, over the last decade have moved in Brna.
